Founded in 1968 by Melvyn Bernie, Discontinued Stick Pins/Hat Pins in approximately 1989.
Avon –
Jewelry was first made for customers as a gift in 1963. From 1965-1969 a few pieces could be purchased. By 1970 Avon jewelry was more readily available. Triffari designed and made the 1986 Centennial Jewelry for Avon.
Barclay –
Providence, RI - The company was founded in 1946 by Alvin & Robert Rice & Louis Mark. Original mark was Barclay in cursive. Since 1948 was Barclay/Art in an artist palette. They stopped signing pieces the last few years in business and ceased operations around 1956.
Cara China Company –
Established in Longton, England in 1945. Established in 05/12/98 - Staffordshire, England. Makers of fine hand painted bone china ornaments and jewelry.
Celebrity N.Y. –
Celebrity N.Y. made costume jewelry from the late 50's through the 70's. The company went out of business in the late 1970;s. Their costume jewelry was fairly expensive. The jewelry was considered fine costume jewelry and they often used sets of very good quality silver, gold and rhodium plate.

New York, NY - 1892 to present. (Rounded E in Ciner and lower case N was used prior to 1940. All caps used after 1940.)

With a C and a Fo inside the C - Mark of Felch & Co., Providence, RI for jewelry. Founded by Victor Primavera, Sr. & James Felch in June of 1938. In 1945 Primavera bought out Felch and changed the company name to "Danecraft" and it has remained that name since 1945.
Forstner –
Forstner Chain Corporation, Inrvington, NJ for jewelry - First used in 1937 - Ceased operations in early 1980's
Gerry's –
1950's - 2000 GERRY'S was first started by Geraldine Giles. The company stopped producing jewelry sometime around 2000. She is especially known for her figural jewelry and holiday brooches.
Giovanni –
Providence, RI - First used in April 1959
Japan–
Occupied Japan - 1945-1952. Most Japan jewelry is hand strung and there are so many unique designs that you will rarely find two exactly alike. Many of the signature jewelry by Coro and other manufacturers were often actually imported from Japan. Especially beaded jewelry.
Jonette (J.J.) –
Jonette Jewelry Company, Providence, RI - 1943 to 2006. J.J. mark was used in 1970.
Lisner –
D. Lisner & Co. Inc., New York, NY mark for jewelry. First used since May 1959. Copyright symbol after 1954.
Mamselle–
This is the mark of B.B. Greenberg Co., Providence, RI. Created women's jewelry beginning in June 1962 - ceased in 1999.
Miriam Haskell–
1924- Present - Early jewelry was unsigned. Beginning late 1930's "MIRIAM HASKELL" on an oval metal plate on the underside of the jewelry. Current less expensive jewelry is marked M.Haskell
Monet –
Monocraft Products Co., Inc., New York, NY, - First used in September, 1930.
Napier –
NAPIER - The Napier Company, Meriden, CT - First used June 1922 (Originally created all sorts of household wares, toys, mesh bags, makeup cases, cigarette cases, hair clips and much more.
NAPIER - in a box with arrows at each end of the box. "The Napier-Bliss Company" - First used in October, 1920.

Original company from 1949-1984 - Lifestyle Brands, Ltd. purchased the company in 1987. In 2002 they sold via the Home Shopping Network and in 2004 by home parties.
Siam Sterling –
1930's & 1980's Siam Sterling, popular for silver jewelry and "Nielloware". Nielloware is created by carving out areas of the silver and baking a sulfur/metals powder in the carved out areas. The common design theme on Siam Sterling jewelry is based on the epic legend called Ramayana or it's Thai adaption Ramakien. The Nielloware is commonly adorned with one of the Ramakien characters.
Speidel –
Fredrick Speidel formed Speidel USA in 1904, a 35,000 sq foot jewelry chain manufacturer., 1911 Speidel Chain Company started. In 1920 introduced watchbands and costume jewelry., 1950's introduced photo id bracelets. In 1974 introduced digital watches. Introduced Signet watch band in 1994. Today they specialize in watchbands, precious children's 14k jewelry, pearl jewelry,14k gold religious crosses, lockets and earrings, ID bracelets, medical jewelry and sterling silver.
The Fashioncraft Jewelry Co., –
New York, NY - 1942 - 1979. "Original by Robert" signature between 1942 - 1979. Signature "Fashioncraft Robert" early 1940's, Signature "Pinless Pin" - 1945 Founded by Robert Levy, David Jaffe, & Irving Landsman. Around 1960 the name was changed to Robert Originals Inc. In 1975 Robert Levy retired and Ellen Jaffe joined the company. She is the daughter of David Jaffe. In 1979 the name changed again to "Ellen Designs for Robert Originals." And in 1984 it became "Ellen Designs".
Trifari –
Jewels by Trifari - (with Jewels by on top of Trifari and crown above the T) - Trifari, Krussman & Fishel, Inc., New York, NY - First used in March 1920

UNCAS Manufacturing –
UNCAS was founded by Vincent Sorrentino in 1911 in Providence, RI under his name. By 1922 it had become UNCAS Manufacturing Co. Vincent Sorrentino died in 1976 but his original family is still involved in the UNCAS Co. in 2008.
Used the mark of a U with an arrow through it between 1919 and 1988.
Vendome –
Vendome was a subsidiary of Coro. They manufactured a high quality line of costume jewelry between approximately 1944 and 1970. The jewelry was made with brilliant high quality European stones and beads.
Weiss –
This is the mark of the Albert Weiss & Co., Inc. from New York, NY. They made costume jewelry from 1942 through 1971. It is pronounced like "rice". These were considered high end costume jewelry. Note that the backs of Weiss jewelry will be smooth not textured as some of the modern fake replicas.
Winard –
Winard operated in the early to mind 1900's. Ceased operation around 1954.
Zentall –
Jewelry maker in the 1950's. They were mentioned in Vogue in 1954.
